UX / UI
I was approached by a private equity broker with a problem: he had purchased a local accounting firm and was considering acquiring another and making them a chain. His problem was that the original firm which had been around for 70 years did not have a website. He needed a simple site that was mobile responsive, would instill confidence, and tell the story of the company and its services. I built not only his site but worked with him to develop a logo he was thrilled with.
The CEO of American Achievement Corporation had an idea for a sales pitch to get into Follett Bookstores: he wanted to build a kiosk students could order photos through, be notified about school events, and see university branded merchandise. I worked with him to develop the UI, mocked-up video of the ordering process as well as what the kiosk would look like in-store.
At Balfour there is a lot of routine production across an array of mediums. Email generation can be problematic when designers without a development background start changing HTML in a template. I built a custom tool using React which allowed artists to punch in pertinent information in a form on the left, see a preview on the right, then with one button download the reformatted email. It took an often problematic 30 minute process down to an easy 3 minute click.
